Oatmeal Bread

Oatmeal Bread
2 pkgs (or 2T) yeast
2 c oats
6 c whole wheat flour
2 tsp salt
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c honey
2 T oil
1 1/4 c warm water
1 1/4 c warm milk
Dissolve yeast in water and add milk.

Measure oil, then sugar and honey. This will help keep the honey from sticking to your measuring cup. Add these and stir. Then add the other ingredients.

Mix well, Knead for 5 min., then rise to double. Punch down, then knead again.



Let rise once more to double in size.


Shape in to two loaves and let rise to double again. Bake at 350 for 20 min or for glass 325 F for 25 min.


This bread is the one on the far left - VERY good sandwich bread!
